Beginners Guide to JAMF for HOLA or department representatives:
JAMF is our schools mobile device management system or MDM. It manages all the apple devices in our school and is the source of all apps and settings we distribute to them.
The tasks you will need to perform on JAMF are simple, start by logging in:

There are many functions in JAMF, but for now all you need to know is how to manage users.

Use this dropdown on the left to access the users panel.

The most basic way to use this page is to select students by clicking the checkbox and then add or remove groups from those students.
When your department purchases apps with a cost per license they need to be managed separately to free apps.
Since we're just getting started, this guide assumes that IT has already created the groups and you only have to adjust the membership.
Simply select add to group and select the group that corresponds to the learning area and year level.

And you're done! To remove from a group, hit the remove button instead.
The student's device will pick up the change within moments of it's owner being added to the group.
It is possible to do bulk actions using student lists, which I will cover in another guide.
